On the heels of the 6-year anniversary of ‘The Caligula Effect series’ historia, Inc. has announce the relase date for their RPG, The Caligula Effect 2 on Steam and the Epic Game Store on June 23. In addition, a new costime will be included dubbed the “Retro Tatefushi Uniform” within the series.
For those unfamiliar, the first game in the series was released in 2016 and is set in a virtual reality program known as “Mobius.” (Note: Think Matrix meets anime.) The main character then realizes that they are in this virtual world and forms the “Go-Home Club” to escape from this world.
Fast forward to the sequel, and the premise is that after the escape, the world was re-created as “Redo” with past regrets erased. The world focuses around thoughts around doing things differently; something that plagues people in reality. When the characters discover that they are once again in a virtual world, they form the “Go-Home-Club” once again and battle their way out.
