‘Shatter Remastered,’ a retro-inspired Breakout style game has been released for free to Netflix subscribers.
Originally released for the PlayStation 3, PC and iOS in 2009 to positive reviews by Sidhe Interactive, the game consisted of a paddle, ball and a field of blocks where players had to destroy the blocks to clear the level.
This release comes as the industry has been subject to a litany of M&A activity, with various traditional and new players emerging to get a piece of the growing industry. Netflix itself acquired a game developer earlier this month, and just like the rest of the industry, seems to be shopping around.
