Video Games Chronicle has confirmed that an unofficial release of Zelda, Ocarina of Time for the PC has been released.
The fan-made PC version was made possible by two years of work done to successfully reverse engineer a version of Ocarina of Time into C code, along with years of similar work done to port Super Mario 64 to the PC.
To run the game, you are required to have a ‘legally sourced version of the ROM’ and to use a piece of softwarte called ‘Ship of Harakinan’ which was made available for download on a Discord server yesterday.
Already, fans are working on various enhancements to the ported game including text to speech, 60fps visuals, twin-stick camera controls, HD models and audio, texture packs, and support for Linux and MacOS.
