Universal Studios tweeted that it will be opening “Super Nintendo World” at it’s Universal Studios Hollywood location sometime in 2023.
Beginning construction in 2019, and coming on the heels of a delayed sister park in Osaka Japan, the new park will sport an interactive area, special theme rides and themed shopping and dining. The expansion will be located in the “lower area” of the park and will signify it’s first major expansion since 2016.
While Universal representatives are not providing many details, media outlets have speculated that it will mirror the Osaka Japan park and will feature a life size Mario Kart course, as well as a slower ride on Yoshi’s island, and heavy gamification.
