Atari announced today that it will be bringing Tempest 4000, the sequel to the classic arcade game Tempest to the Atari VCS and Nintendo Switch. The game is slated to be released on March 22.
One of the original vector-based games of it’s day, the Tempest series has been featured prominently across pop culture including in Ernest Cline’s Ready Player One novel.
The game is developed by Llamasoft in partnership with designer Jeff Minter. You can also buy the game on Steam for PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
